Surface treatment: blasting, coating, painting

Blasting, derusting and coating – what comes after blasting? At the Blasting Alliance, we think outside the box and offer comprehensive services.

Following our blasting and cleaning work, we take care of coating the treated surfaces, regardless of the blasting method used. We use high-quality protective coatings to maximize the added value of your project and ensure availability.

We typically apply corrosion protection or fire protection coatings, followed by a decorative paint finish as a final step. Together with our clients, we determine the optimum properties of the coating. We make recommendations and name suitable paint and coating manufacturers in order to guarantee the highest quality.

Coating of steel beams after cleaning by the Blasting Alliance

Effective fire protection for steel beams: Durable solutions for maximum safety

A fire protection coating reliably protects steel beams from premature burn-through. Similar to popcorn, the fire protection coating forms a coarse-pored fire-resistant insulating layer when heated and provides long-term insulation. This ensures the stability and functionality of the steel structures in the event of fire.

The decision on the correct implementation of fire protection measures is the responsibility of our experts, who take into account the requirements of the building. For example, F 30 protection requires the steel structure to withstand a fire for 30 minutes.

To ensure optimum adhesion of the coating, the steel parts are often cleaned using the dry ice blasting process. This method is particularly effective and useful for our application.

This is what our optimum coating process looks like:

  1. Cleaning with dry ice
  1. Special adhesive primer
  1. Fire protection coating/insulation protection
  1. Decorative coating in RAL color according to customer requirements

Long-term fire protection with Hensel systems: Over 25 years of reliable safety

We rely on the fire protection system from Rudolf Hensel GmbH. Hensel was the first manufacturer of fire protection coatings to successfully prove that its products have a durability of over 25 years in dry interior areas (Z2) in the European assessment procedure (ETA). The steel fire protection coatings HENSOTHERM® 410 KS, HENSOTHERM® 421 KS and HENSOTHERM® 920 KS can be used as 1K and 2K systems for over 25 years, provided they are applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
